The San Rafael Play System brings together a mix of climbing routes, interactive panels, and imaginative features in a compact, engaging layout. Children can ascend to the upper platform using the Transfer Station, which offers a smooth, accessible entry point, or take on the more textured Rock Climbing Wall, designed with raised handholds and footholds for a different climbing experience. Once elevated, the Gear Panel provides hands-on mechanical interaction, while a Line Roof helps offer shade and weather protection. Three slide styles—the Straight Slide, Right Turn Slide, and Wave Slide—extend from different sides of the structure, creating multiple ways to return to the ground. At the lower level, the Store Panel supports pretend marketplace play, and the Ship’s Wheel invites imaginative navigation and storytelling. With its combination of varied slides, themed panels, and two distinct climbing choices, this structure stands out for its multi-directional play design anchored by a central roofed deck and engaging activity elements.
