The Santa Monica Play Structure blends overhead challenges, multiple climbing routes, and a variety of interactive elements into a dynamic, multi-directional design. Children can reach the upper deck using the Vertical Ladder, the Disk Climber with its round footholds, or the Zipper Climber, which offers a narrow, hand-over-hand style ascent. One of the standout features is the 90 Degree Overhead Swing Ladder, a ring-style overhead route that turns mid-air, adding a unique direction change to the challenge. From the elevated platforms, three Straight Slides branch out in different directions, while the Double Wave Slide offers a bumpy, fast descent. Ground-level and upper-level sensory activities include a Single Drum, Drum Panel, Bongos, and a Rain Wheel that produces a rainfall sound when spun. The Ship’s Wheel adds a nautical-themed imaginative feature, and a Bench Panel beneath the structure provides a shaded resting spot.
